What quote resonates with you? When the going gets tough, the tough get going!
What was your MOS in the Navy and time served. 4 years as a Petty Officer. Rating of Fire Control Technician. Radar Electronics control of shipboard armament.
What one word inspires you & why? Faith. I struggle with it!
What inspires you about CAL & the Veteran members? When I see and meet CAL Vets I am impressed and awed with the perseverance and commitment they have obtained through CAL programs and some of the unbelievable results in attitude and physical recovery.
Although no parent ever looks to be a GOLD Star Father- what does it mean to you? Being a veteran and fully understanding the commitment and dangers of swearing an oath to protect our country, I perversely feel a great deal of pride being in this most elitist of groups, Gold Star Families. I also, on the other hand, have a loathsome feeling that there isn’t a uniform military commitment for all citizens in this country.

What one word inspires you & why? Faith. Faith in God gives me peace of mind and strength to face each day with renewed hope.
What inspires you about CAL & the Veteran members? I was honored during COVID-19 shutdown, to call hundreds of veterans in the program. In speaking with the Veterans and their struggles each day, how thankful they are to CAL for helping in making their life better and for some, actually saving their lives..
Although no parent ever looks to be a GOLD Star Mother- what does it mean to you? Even though a Gold Star Mother has lost a child, we know that they gave their life for their country so that we may have a free country and are proud of their sacrifice.

What quote resonates with you? “Whatever you do, do it well.” Walt Disney This quote has taught me to be the best at whatever I do and continue trying until I get it right.
What one word inspires you and why? Challenge. It inspires me because it motivates me to accomplishment, learn new things and develop new skills.
What do you think Chris would say about CAL? He would be humbled by how his core life practices are helping so many of his “mates’. Physical fitness really worked for him and CAL would have made him smile knowing he was right all along.
Although no sibling ever looks to be a GOLD Star Sister- what does it mean to you? Gold Star sisters, recognizes the ultimate sacrifice my brother made for me and our country. Strong patriotism, sense of duty and healing are found and I am a proud to be a sister.

What one word inspires you and why? Hope. Without it, there is no reason to push through hard times.
What do you think Chris would say about CAL? Mate, I don’t deserve this but am honored and humbled to be a driving force for change.
