Position: Gym Membership Coordinator

Location: Remote, but a local candidate is highly desired
(20-30 hours per week)

The Gym Membership Coordinator will work directly with our veteran members to connect them with fitness facilities across the country. This position aids veterans in applying their grant funding to gym memberships and building a relationship with affiliates. 

This is a part-time position (20-30 hours weekly). We are open to 100% remote work, but it is highly desirable to have someone local to the Baltimore area.

Overview of job responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with eligible veteran members upon receiving their fitness facility grant through phone calls and emails
  • Coordinate, negotiate, and secure pricing on gym memberships with nationwide gym facilities
  • Develop and maintain corporate gym facility relationships 
  • Develop and maintain the Gym Ambassador program
  • Track payments and log receipts for gym memberships and reimbursements
  • Transfer all new gym facilities to the website manager to be uploaded into the online “gym locator.” 
  • Build a relationship with the gym facilities that we pay for potential hosting of nationwide fitness workouts, i.e., Coffland Hero Challenge, etc. 
  • Follow up gym facility connections with info packets 
  • Update and maintain all accurate veteran information in the CRM, SalesForce

Skills:

  • Personal interest and/or experience working in the fitness and wellness industry 
  • Must be comfortable speaking on the phone 
  • Must be able to negotiate contracts/pricing 
  • Experience with Google Sheets or Excel is required
  • Experience with the Salesforce CRM background is desired. If you have no background, you must be willing to learn
  • Passionate about the Catch A Lift mission
  • Must be organized, able to work independently
